    • Nested Podman gets /dev/net/tun, so nested containers can have their own network (--network pasta, rootless bridge networks). Before, they failed with "Failed to open() /dev/net/tun". The tap devices live in the outer container's network namespace, not the host's.

    • The Claude container runs catatonit as PID 1, which reaps orphaned processes (backgrounded shells, nested containers) and forwards signals. Before, Claude Code was PID 1 and they stayed zombies for the rest of the session. Takes effect with the 0.2.6 image.
    • The Debian package ships a full changelog in /usr/share/doc/claudia/changelog.gz instead of a pointer to the release page.

    • Claude inside the container now suggests running large tasks that split into independent parts as a dynamic workflow (the Workflow tool), and only runs one after you opt in (e.g. "use a workflow"). Takes effect after the image is rebuilt.

    • Security fix for --llm on localhost: 0.2.3 gave the container access to every service on the host's 127.0.0.1 (pasta --map-host-loopback). 0.2.4 forwards only the LLM's port (pasta -T PORT); other loopback ports stay closed. Upgrade if you use --llm http://localhost….
    • localhost is now sent as 127.0.0.1, so IPv4-only servers such as Ollama aren't reset when Claude Code tries ::1 first. Give [::1] explicitly for an IPv6-only server.
    • --restricted is unchanged.

    • Own LLM: claudia run NAME --llm URL --llm-model MODEL runs Claude Code against any server with an Anthropic Messages API (Ollama, llama-server, vLLM, LiteLLM) instead of Anthropic. Remembered per instance; --no-llm switches back.
    • The token comes from $CLAUDIA_LLM_TOKEN (or --llm-token-env VAR) on the host and never lands in the config, the command line or --dry-run. No claude.ai login is needed, also for -p.
    • localhost URLs reach the host. In full network mode the container then gets access to the host's loopback (every service on 127.0.0.1, not only the LLM).
    • --restricted allows the LLM host automatically, including ports other than 443.
    • --llm-context TOKENS tells Claude Code the model's context window. The server must give the model that window too: Ollama's default of 4k silently cuts Claude Code's ~15k-token prompt.
    • --llm-only sends nothing to Anthropic (no telemetry, update checks or auto-updates). With --restricted only the LLM and --allow-domain hosts are allowed.
    • claudia list shows an LLM column.

First release of claudia: run Claude Code in a rootless Podman container with read-only inputs, a read-write output directory and persistent named instances.

    • claudia run/list/show/rm/build
    • per-instance home: login, settings and Claude Code auto-updates persist
    • start-up options are never visible inside the container
    • mandatory high-level work log in /work/output/CLAUDIA-LOG.md
    • --restricted egress allowlist proxy
    • nested Podman (on by default, --no-nested to disable)

Install: uv tool install git+https://kode.naiv.no/olemd/claudia, the Debian package from the Forgejo registry, or the files attached below.
